EPAM Vietnam is looking for a talented Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Ho Chi Minh City. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining cutting-edge product recommender systems, with a strong focus on MLOps and optimizing machine learning algorithms.Join our exciting initiative for a high-profile client, where you will collaborate with a diverse international team on global projects. This role offers opportunities for business travel to Hong Kong and the chance to participate in innovative AI developments within the dynamic health and beauty industry.Build and maintain our product recommender systems, with a focus on MLOps (e.g., deployment and performance monitoring) and optimizing machine learning algorithms in PySparkDevelop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to feed data into the recommendation systemsCollaborate with other data scientists and engineers to develop innovative machine learning solutions that drive business valueAnalyze and evaluate the performance of the recommendation systems and identify opportunities for improvementStay up to date with the latest developments in machine learning technologies and leverage them to improve the recommendation systems

Responsibilities:More than 4 years of experience in machine learning engineering with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalentStrong experience in the Python and PandasFamiliarity with MLOps tools (e.g., Dagster, MLFlow) and techniques such as model deployment, monitoring, and performance optimizationKnowledge of Azure cloud computing platforms (e.g., Blob storage, Databricks), vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Faiss, Pgvector) and API deploymentGood understanding of software engineering and DevOps skills (Docker, Git, CI/CD)Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues on timeGood communication skills and familiarity with an Agile working environmentProficiency in both spoken and written English at B2 level or above is essentialNice to have:Experience in PySparkExperience in building recommendation systems for e-commerce
