About the role
Does the software work the way it was designed to do? As a QA Engineer, you will be laser-focused on doing what is needed to find defects before they go into the delivered product. To support that work, creating and maintaining the tools and environments needed is essential. There is constant focus on improving the way the software is developed and any processes that are not optimal in relation to quality.
You will work across teams and support and guide the engineering teams by providing structure on what tests, infrastructure and planning is needed. Quality is second nature to you, and you pride yourself on seeing the quality aspect in every context. As a true QA nerd, you possess strong skills within testing and quality, and you readily share your insights (and QA jokes) with your team.
You have the mindset of knowing that everything can fail paired with a deep desire to figure out all the edge cases that can trigger a failure. The QA Engineer is a key part of helping the product team to be confident in what is being built works as designed. Being able to give pertinent feedback is mandatory in this role.
What will you do?
- Work with the Engineering Circle on making sure that released software is of high quality and identify defects in the software before it is released to the user
- Work with the Quality Assurance Engineer in Denmark to make sure the foundation for testing is in place
We are looking for you if you:
- Have at least 3 years of experience in a QA engineer role – or alternatively, a proven ability to execute and make things happen
- Are a process-oriented person with a deep desire to identify defects in software
- Have the mindset of automating, both in the QA process and your work
- Have the mindset that everything can fail paired with a deep desire to figure out all the edge cases that can trigger a failure
- Always have an overview and a plan
- Have great communication skills that enable you to contribute with incisive and constructive input
- Can plan and structure your own day
- Thrive in a hands-on role where you are an individual contributor
- Preferably have Azure certifications
- Are curious and want to learn, grow, and succeed – both as an individual and as part of a team
- Have a strong analytical sense for applying new technologies and solution designs
- Knowledge of working with databases in general not just application databases
- Knowledge and experience with working with REST API and API’s in general
- Speak and write English well
