ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER - VINTAGE EMPORIUM THAO DIEN
NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR THE NEW YEAR!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Service
• Ensures that all team members deliver a high level of guest service at all times.
• Handles all customer issues and queries in a polite and efficient manner, ensuring problems are resolved properly and within reasonable time frames.
• Works with the Outlet manager and supervisors to train team members in guest service skills.
• Reports customer issues to the Directors.
• Creates positive guest and team interactions, ensures good working relations using a professional and calm manner at all times.
• Maintains relationships with regular guests and acts as the face of the restaurant using an engaging manner.
Operational tasks and responsibilities:
• Oversees the preparation and update of training materials
• Holds regular communication meetings and daily briefings • Ensures daily smooth restaurant operation and fully manages all aspects of the restaurant in in the absence of the Directors.
• Ensures all menus are correct and presentable.
• Ensures restaurant standards have been implemented at an international level.
• Monitors operations and schedules and manages team effectively and efficiently in both peak periods and low business periods.
• Checks customer satisfaction on a daily basis and reports back to the Directors daily.
• Uses checklists in place throughout the restaurant for opening closing and other processes in all sections, service team, bar team, cleaning team, manager and supervisor team and kitchen team.
• Ensures that all team members are informed and knowledgeable of all promotions in the restaurant.
• Works closely with the Outlet manager and supervisor to ensure a friendly and professional working culture and environment for all team members.
• Manages the restaurant team to ensure the restaurant is clean and well maintained at all times
• Ensures that all team members work in a supportive and flexible manner with each other.
• Ensures that all team members are fully up to date with the product knowledge and the restaurant food and beverage menu / offerings.
• Rosters team members effectively and efficiently.
• Checks and makes sure that all back of house areas are tidy and clean and all equipment is in good order including bar, kitchen and upstairs stores
• Ensures that music in the restaurant is always at appropriate levels..
• Manages the restaurants daily float and petty cash for purchases.
• Monitors social media sites (Google, Facebook, and TripAdvisor) for guest feedback. Responds and then works with the team to problem solves issues and prevent re-occurrence.
• Monitors online scores on social media sites, puts action plans together to improve standings and scores.
• Create and maintains daily reports on revenues, customer service issues, team issues, large bookings and distributes to the Directors daily.
Financial responsibilities:
• Maximises team productivity using flexible rostering to keep staff costs at minimum while still balancing expectations of all guests.
• Ensures that the restaurant is operated in line with maximising profit while still offering delivering excellent service.
• Manages cost proactively based on business levels, always with a mind to the most efficient operation.
• Ensures that cash and credit cards are handled correctly and a method is in place to double check daily revenues
• Assists in the inventory management and ongoing maintenance of equipment and other assets.
Events Management:
• Manages enquiries for events for parties such as birthdays, weddings, corporate events, dinner parties and other events.
• Works with the kitchen to create tailor made proposals for events including customized menus, beverage packages, audio visual requirements, and decorations.
• Creates custom decoration and setups for events.
• Conducts pre-event briefings with team to ensure successful execution.
Team member responsibilities:
• Manages the punctuality and grooming of all team members, ensuring that they have the correct uniform and have a high level of personal appearance and hygiene.
• Coaches team members through creating developments plans to improve their skills and abilities using tools such as appropriate training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Assisted by the Outlet Manager and supervisor has 6 monthly performance reviews with all team members. • Implements effective training programmes
• Oversees the preparation and posting of weekly work schedules in each department, making sure that they reflect business needs and other key performance indicators.
• Creates a culture allowing team members to be creative and innovative and challenged. • Has a system for recognition for team member’s contribution to the success of the restaurant.
• Ensures that all team members are trained on and follow restaurant rules and regulations.
• Ensure all team members follow procedures relating to health, hygiene, safety and security.
• Together with the Directors Conducts a yearly review of team member satisfaction.
Other Duties
• Shows effective management and behaviour at all times always appropriately representing the restaurant.
•Strictly follows Rules and Regulations concerning fire, hygiene, health and safety.
• Has an impeccable level of personal grooming.
•Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
