- Provide secretarial and administrative services to the HR Department and the hotel, in line with InterContinental Hotels Group standards. Promotes the desired work culture around Our Winning Ways.
- Assisting the Training Manager for the training function, including developing a complement of qualified departmental trainers and establishes a hotel system for generating training data and evaluating results.

FINANCIAL RETURNS:
- Maintain general filing systems
- Answer incoming telephone calls and either transfer, redirect or take a message
- Prepare files, reports, correspondence and other relevant business documentation
- Oversee all Purchase Requisitions in the department
- Handle general enquiries
- Arrange appointments and meetings
- Take dictation of correspondence as required
- Open and sort mail
- Maintain confidentiality at all times on all matters
- Demonstrate essential overall knowledge of the organization
- Understand the responsibilities of other units and departments and co-operate with them
- Access and use work processing computer packages and keep up to date with enhancements to latest upgrades
- Coordinate with the training facilitators to arrange and prepare all requirements for the successful execution of training events.
- Maintain an effective filing and administration system for the training function
- Follow up the progress of the Training Business Plan for each department
- Maintains all hotel training records
- Filling a training library of books, videos, journals and audio visual materials to assist trainers in their training programs and for staff personal development
- Attend departmental training session
- Assist Department Trainers in preparing and conducting departmental training and assess accordingly
- Maintain current information and records of suppliers of training resources and materials
- Provides input for probation and formal performance appraisal discussions to Line Managers in line with company guidelines
- Produce monthly training reports for your Manager and the General Manager including:
- Internal Training Programs conducted:
- Who attended
- Number of people attended
- Duration of training
- Who trained
- Cost of delivery (including labor costs)
- Anticipated return on investment and/or training goal
- External training programs attended:
- Who attended
- Number of people attended
- Duration of training
- Who trained
- Cost of delivery (including labor costs)
- Anticipated return on investment and/or training goal
- Liaise with educational institutions conducting hospitality and training courses
- Regularly communicates with staff and maintains good relations
- Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines
- Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
- Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
- Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
- Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements

Required Skills –
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- Knowledge of Local Labour and Employment Regulations.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Good writing skills
Qualifications –
- Diploma in Human Resources, Training or Business Administration.
Experience –
- 1 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
