Star Quest - Backend Engineer (Golang, Rust)

Key Responsibilities:  Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code for backend services and features, following team standards and guidance.  Contribute to the design and implementation of backend services and components.  Participate in code reviews to learn and ensure code quality.  Assist in debugging and resolving software defects.  Learn and apply principles of databases (SQL/NoSQL), systems programming, concurrency, and memory safety.  Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and QA specialists.  Contribute to technical documentation.  Learn about building systems, testing frameworks, and deployment processes and basic infrastructure concepts. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field  Upto 2 years of experience (internships, significant personal projects, or open-source contributions using Go/Rust are highly valued).  Foundational Knowledge:  Strong understanding of fundamental computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms).  Solid programming principles (variables, control flow, functions, data types).  Demonstrable interest and basic proficiency in Go (understanding syntax, basic concurrency) or Rust (understanding ownership, borrowing, lifetimes is key). Show us your GitHub, personal projects, or coursework!  Familiarity with version control systems (Git).  Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and web services. Understanding basic networking concepts is a plus.  Exposure to databases (SQL or NoSQL) is a plus. Experience with Linux or other Unix-like operating systems is a plus.  Skills:  Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.  Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment.  Good communication skills.  Passion for programming, particularly systems programming and Rust.  Attention to detail and commitment to writing quality code.  Fluency in English.
