Textile Designer - Proweave

Duties and expectationsEnsure that all textile design related aspects to Proweave and specific technical tasks flow efficiently from brand development to production departments in collaboration with the Global Account team members. The textile designer is responsible for crafting all textile CAD requirements throughout the creation process sampling to production of the textiles including keeping tasks and projects on deadline, handling the logistics and keeping all parties updated on the progress specific to role responsibilities. Duties include being an active partner in the ProWeave team and working within the innovation sampling process for ProWeave. The end goal is to ensure the project goes smoothly and both the client who requested the project and the cross functional members of the project team, who did the work, are satisfied with the result.ResponsibilitiesProWeave Development Lead●Create and Collaborate: Provide expert technical knowledge of the main textile and fabrics construction process. Communicate to the ProWeave team for the following: Responsible for creating CAD design detail and structural orthogonal fabrics on time, for various stages of a project. Start to finish, expecting multiple rounds of revisions from brand and internal feedback. Be the daily expert on status.●Drive the Process. Solely responsible to drive internal design requirement during different stages to development and production.●Communicate: Meet with project team members to learn more about new project requests.●Collaborate: with project team, external resources and vendors to ensure timely delivery of the assigned tasks related to design, sampling creation.ProWeave Innovation / Creation Expert●Key information expert for industry / technology and trends.●Lead the creation of a seasonal palette for ProWeave ideation to physical samples.●Drive sample creation process (hanger cards / distribution).●Work with in house marketing to develop seasonal story and digital content.●Deliver to identified material shows on time, appropriate messaged new content, seasonally.
