Role OverviewTOPPA Solutions is seeking a highly responsible and proactive Database Administrator (DBA) to work onsite with our global client.The DBA will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, availability, and security of enterprise-level database systems. This includes planning, implementing, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting databases to support mission-critical operations.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and optimize database performance; perform query tuning and resource optimization.Perform regular backups, restores, failover, and disaster recovery (DR) procedures.Ensure high availability, database clustering, and scalability.Implement robust security controls, including encryption, auditing, and access permissions.Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).Provide L2/L3 support for database-related incidents and troubleshoot issues promptly.Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to optimize database usage.Install, configure, and upgrade database servers and related tools.Manage schema changes, migrations, and version control.Set up and maintain monitoring systems and performance dashboards.Maintain complete documentation of database environments, policies, and procedures.Define and enforce database standards, best practices, and governance rules.
