1. Overall Job Purpose• Ensure that DHL is the benchmark for security, business continuity and occupational health and safety excellence in the logistics industry. • Initiate, co-ordinate and implement programs/ investigations into losses, other security incidents relating to DHL assets, personnel and shipments carried by DHL.• Develop, implement and monitor policies, procedures on security, business continuity management (BCM), occupational health & safety (H&S) standards & practices to safeguard DHL employees and customers’ shipments, DHL assets2. Main Accountabilities2.1. InternalBranch Management• Advise branch management of any changes and recommended counter measures• Provide support and advice on security, BCM, H&S matters• Advise on any security, BCM, occupational health & safety related changes and recommend security, occupational health & safety practices to ensure policies and business needs are met to specifications• Conduct security, BCM, H&S audits (and assist other audit teams e.g. TSP), both proactively and reactively to assess the effectiveness of security, occupational health & safety practices and procedures at branch sites.• Conduct Security & Safety related investigations, analysis and other enquiries as required. • Role of Branch BCM coordinator Security, BCM & Occupational Health & Safety related Networking• Developed extensive contacts with Security personnel and Occupational Health & Safety Practitioners in a variety of industries, including the airfreight /airline industry as well as local law enforcement and regulatory agencies• Develop and maintain extensive internal contacts within DHL as security of the shipment in DHL custody is an end-to-end processLaw Enforcement, Security Officials, Local Authorities & Regulatory Bodies, Security Consultants, Private Investigators• Follow and update Legal and regulation related to security, OHS & BCM in a timely manner and best practice developments.• Establish professional liaison to ensure strong links are maintained between DHL and such authoritiesAll DHL country Staff• Enlist the support of all DHL staff to ensure that DHL’s environment is safe, secured and compliant to occupational health & safety standards• Conduct regular security, OHS & BCM training to employeesOccupational Health & Safety Managers at other DHL locations• Liaise closely to ensure a cohesive and effective compliance to DPDHL regional/global occupational health & safety manual and standards.Country Office• Provide regular updates on Security, BCM and H&S issues• Ensure compliance to DHL Security, BCM and H&S policies and procedures2.2. ExternalDHL Customers• Provide professional security, safety and BCM supportSecurity Vendors, Security Consultants, Private investigators• Source appropriate security vendors and consultants with respect to the purchase of security equipment, undertaking of investigations, etc.• Co-ordinate country security, BCM, occupational health and safety activities and ensure compliance of DHL sub-contractors with security procedures as specified in the Regional Security Policy and Procedures Manual and Occupational Health & Safety Standards.• Monitor and audit the security services provided• Conduct regular security, OHS & BCM training to vendors
