JOB PURPOSEThe quality gatekeeper is responsible for ensuring that software is being delivered with the highest quality standards. The main mission is to reach quality excellence by having no issues in production as a continuous target.The QA Engineer should know and understand the business details, being able to check whether the final result matches all the business expectations.The QA Engineer should create and execute manual and automated test scenarios, provide root cause analyses of defects based on metrics, and proactively raise improvements that will enhance the quality of the product.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAs a member of an Agile team: The main responsibility for the quality of the product. Ensure that the product is delivered with the highest quality by leveraging QA activities along with the scrum phases. Some of the daily basis activities are:Design test processes and procedures used to ensure that software operates within defined requirements.Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.Implement test plans, automation, and validation strategies.Creating and executing test automation scripts (UI testing, API testing, etc).In-depth functional testing – Must be able to evaluate functional stability to ensure business requirements are being met and are “fit-for-purpose” through end-to-end functional and automation testing.Work closely with developers and product owners/business analysts to resolve issues.Communicate any obstacles to raise awareness and avoid project impediments and overall project timeline disruption.Collaborate with Product Owner, and Developers on tasks related to the planning, testing, and coordination of release activities.Participate in user story creation process through dissection of high-level requirements during team review sessions.
