FBO (What are the major functional business objectives for this position?)The Modern Trade Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive sales and brand visibility in modern trade channels. This role involves managing key accounts, building strong relationships with retailers, and ensuring the effective distribution of our products.Key Responsibilities What are the 5 7 Key Responsibilities for this position. What are the most frequent and most important essential work activities, teams, and outcomes they are responsible for?Account Management:- Identify, establish, and manage relationships with modern trade customers and key accounts.- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, preferences, and market trends.- Negotiate and implement mutually beneficial business agreements with key accounts.Sales Strategy:- Develop and execute a modern trade sales strategy to achieve revenue and volume targets.- Create sales plans, forecasts, and budgets for modern trade channels.Monitor sales performance and take corrective actions as needed to meet or exceed targets.Distribution Management:- Ensure effective product distribution and availability across modern trade outlets.- Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.- Implement merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and shelf space.Promotions and Marketing:- Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute promotional campaigns and initiatives in modern trade.- Monitor the effectiveness of promotions and adjust strategies accordingly.Market Intelligence:- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior within the modern trade segment.- Use market insights to identify opportunities and make informed business decisions.Team Leadership:- Manage and lead a team of sales and merchandising professionals, providing guidance and coaching.- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.KPIs:- What are the 3 5 Key Performance Indicators this position will be measured against?- Revenue target- Product volume point (PV) - No. store growth- Customer's PO retention rate (based on drop rate at 5%) - Team developmentInterdepartmental communication- What are the primary people contacts in this job?
