- As Revenue Manager you’ll drive the rooms revenue through pricing, market strategy, yield, distribution & selling strategies, and revenue management best practices. Manage hotel revenue generation & maximization through full utilization of company systems, business processes and specifications.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
People
• Train and support hotel teams on revenue system functionality and enhancements (mainly Sales, Front Office and Reservation teams).
• Provides technical support to Reservations and Front Office on up-selling, systems use and upselling.
• Support the wider hotel team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues.
• Daily communication and coordination with the General Manager and Sales department.
Financial
• Overall responsibility for the development and maximization of rate and occupancy.
• Drive the relevant daily reports to ensure accuracy and relevant data.
• Strategically optimize the segment mix of group patterns, rates, and transient rooms.
• Help create the hotel annual budget and the setting of performance goals.
• Ensure measurable improvements for demand and availability, aiming to gain RevPAR share.
• Work collaboratively with each department to develop specific strategies for growth.
• Identify and analyze, demand shifts and/or citywide / special events, implementing Revenue Management strategies.
• Present revenue strategies, booking trends, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Using the tools provided (ie SBRP) and in compliance with the IHG standards, maintains, updates and shares information in the areas of a master calendar of external events, competitor rate intelligence, RevPar penetration (RGI), system contribution and trends in rooms and non-rooms revenues by channel, segment and account.
• Understand the composition of hotel profitability, and uses this to evaluate business from local accounts and groups so as to provide input to future rate setting and negotiation.
• Monitor competitor pricing for all room rates, understands the dynamic of the local market and the demand generators, and proactively implements appropriate actions for the hotel’s pricing and market mix strategy.
• Conduct weekly Revenue meetings and monthly Revenue Generation Meetings
• Monitor and determine demand periods for, rooms through an analysis of historical data and current bookings. Responsible for tracking and analysing of booking pace, group wash.
• Approve and/or implement sell strategies for all group proposals above 9 rooms on any one night.
• Guardian of SBRP. Ensure compliance with all SBRP rules and standard processes. Provide guidance to the annual budget process on all revenue aspects of the business and leadership for rooms revenue.
• Champion all special projects relating to market research and revenue optimization.
Guest Experience
• Support the team in creating and implementing packages and offers that deliver true hospitality and an elevated guest experience.
• Provide data and insights as to the “type” of guest booking our hotel in accordance with market segment, seasonality and other defining patterns to support the team to plan operationally to meet the range of guests in house at any one point
• Ensure online rate information is clear and compelling. Both to ensure the booking is confirmed and to ensure guests expectations are clear.
• Assist on request with high level VIP bookings/high touch point guests to ensure a smooth booking process and provide recognition from leadership team.
• Continually monitor selling of room types and packages and reassess with the wider hotel team if we are offering the correct selection of room types and rates to match our guests.
• Collaborate with internal departments to address consistent issues and trends.
Responsible Business
• Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done.
• May also serve as manager on duty (MOD) on request.
• May assist with other duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain confidentially of all strategies, pricing and internal system data.
• Adhere to IHG’s competitive pricing policies and report any issues identified of anti-competitive nature from our corporate partners

Required Skills:
- Understanding of pricing strategies, yield management, and demand forecasting.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and optimize revenue per available room (RevPAR).
- A bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field is often required.
- Typically, 3-5 years of experience in revenue management, sales, or a related field within the hospitality industry.
- Experience in a resort, hotel, or similar setting is preferred to understand seasonal dynamics and guest behaviors.
