Manual Testing & Test Planning (Primary Focus – 70%) Test Case Creation: Design, write, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases and test plans based on requirements and design documents. Functional & Exploratory Testing: Execute manual tests for Web, API, and Mobile applications to validate new features, UI/UX consistency, and logic flows. Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases that automation might miss. Regression & Release Validation: Lead manual regression cycles before releases and verify hotfixes in production environments. Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to analyze requirements, identify gaps, and define clear acceptance criteria before development begins. Bug Management: Identify, record, and track bugs to resolution in JIRA (or similar). Perform detailed root cause analysis on reported issues to assist developers in fixing defects. Test Automation & Maintenance (Secondary Focus – 30%) Automation Scripting: Write and maintain automated scripts for stable functionalities using existing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright). Framework Contribution: Contribute to the existing test automation framework rather than building from scratch. Focus on expanding test coverage for regression suites. CI/CD Usage: Trigger and monitor automated test suites within the build pipeline (GitLab CI) and analyze failure reports to differentiate between script errors and actual application bugs.
