JOB DESCRIPTION*** We are seeking an experienced AI Backend Developer with over 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing AI-driven backend systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in LangChain, RAG pipeline implementation, and search technologies (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch), along with experience in chatbot/playground development. Knowledge of AI agents, tools, and RAG optimization is a plusKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: + Design and implement LangChain-based workflows for AI applications.+ Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.+ Integrate OpenSearch/Elasticsearch for semantic/hybrid search.+ Build and maintain chatbot/playground environments (e.g., Streamlit, Gradio, custom UIs).+ Fine-tune vector search, hybrid search, and relevance ranking.+ Optimize indexing/query performance for low-latency AI responses.+ Work with embeddings (OpenAI, Hugging Face, or custom models).+ Develop scalable APIs (FastAPI, Flask, or similar).+ Collaborate on frontend-backend integration (Ember.js or other JavaScript frameworks).+ Use build tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle) for deployment automation.+ Ensure CI/CD pipelines are efficient and reliable.+ Work in Agile/Scrum environments, participating in sprints, standups, and retrospectives.+ Collaborate with frontend engineers, data scientists, and product teams.

Responsibilities:1. Lead the QA Team: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of QA engineers and testers. Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations. Ensure the team has the necessary resources, skills, and motivation to achieve their objectives. 2. Quality Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy that includesmanual and automated testing. Create and manage test plans, schedules, and resource allocation based on project requirements. Define and monitor quality metrics to measure and improve the effectiveness of testing processes. 3. Test Automation: Drive the adoption and expansion of test automation frameworks and tools. Collaborate with development teams to ensure continuous integration and continuous testing (CI/CD) processes are in place. Identify areas of the software development lifecycle where automation can improve efficiency and quality. 4. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals, risks, and testing requirements. Ensure clear communication of QA status, issues, and risk factors to project stakeholders and senior management. Participate in project planning meetings to provide QA input on timelines, risks, and dependencies. 5. Process Improvement: Continuously assess and refine QA processes and best practices to improve efficiency  and quality. Introduce industry-leading QA methodologies, tools, and technologies to the team. Foster a culture of quality across all stages of product development, from requirement gathering to final release. 6. Defect Management: Oversee the defect management process, including defect identification, tracking, and reporting. Ensure defects are properly categorized, assigned, and resolved in a timely manner. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and address critical defects effectively. 7. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that testing activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Conduct risk analysis to identify potential product vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure that all product releases meet the required quality standards before delivery to production.

Talent Management   Recruit and make QE hiring decision.   Participate in planning and allocating QEs across multiple squads.   Build a strong team culture and foster employee engagement.  3. Performance Management   Define the QE goals based on the domain and QE center’s priorities.  Have development/career plans and 1-1 for team members.  Provide feedback and assess the performance on a quarter/annual basis.  4. Capability Building   Identify gaps, organize training for upskilling the QE capabilities.  Train and enable senior QEs to take leadership roles.   Contribute to building cross-domain capabilities for NAB.  5. Innovation   Drive, contribute towards innovation in QE processes/tools and domain’s innovations.  Support the QE colleagues to stay on top of the latest testing technology trends.
