Job Purpose:Develop a game idea into a complete workable game design, with clear game objectives and its components such as characters, levels, weapons, stage, other game elements and written it into a well-structured game design document (GDD).Design functions of the game, creating systems, rules, and gameplay, and help with world-building (story and IP) to ensure it’s playable, fun, interesting, compelling, and engaging. You oversee both the foundation and execution of the game mechanics and overall user experience.Responsibilities:Conceptualize, design, and maintain gameplay systems that achieve a fulfilling flow state, addictive game loops, and a risk/reward balance.Develop the storyline, characters, back-stories, and dialogue, through scripts and storyboards, including relevant research needed to achieve this.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation (such as game design documents, design outlines, diagrams, and visual mockups) that details the triggers, interactions, and subsequent events of specific features or aspects of gameplay.Iterating, play-testing, and analyzing user feedback and social metrics to adjust gameplay and design to continuously push the boundaries of the game’s design and feature set.Support in analyzing feature performance and take ownership to identify improvements.Understand business and players’ needs and provide well-informed decisions.Identify and solve challenges met through the production cycle, ensuring design decisions are clearly communicated to the team.Work closely with Game Developers and Game Artists to implement and optimize the player interface.Building levels and environments.
