JOB SUMMARY
The Commis is responsible for producing consistently high-quality products at the assigned station. The individual assists the Chef de Partie in the preparation of dishes, maintaining an efficient and flexible service that is consistent with the departmental operating policies and procedures to maximize guest satisfaction.
THE ROLE
o Assists the Chef de Partie in running of the assigned work station.
o Assists the chefs in mise-en-place preparation, ensuring that only fresh ingredients of the highest quality are used.
o Prepares all guest orders, noting special dietary preferences in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
o Perform opening and closing duties as assigned by supervisors and handle all HACCP forms on a daily basis.
o Maintain proper security and storage of inventory supplies in a timely manner to minimize wastage and pilferage.
o Ensures that the assigned working areas, kitchen equipment, and tools are kept clean and organized at all times.
o Adhere to the Health, Hygiene, and Safety guidelines and operating procedures set by the hotel.

TALENT PROFILE
Qualification
o Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent certifications
Work Experience
o Experiences in similar roles at luxury hotels/resort
Technical Skills
o Excellent interpersonal skills with personable character, a team player and good at cultivating strong guest relations
o Basic command in spoken and written English
o Knowledge in culinary techniques
