DMP Vietnam is an R&D company specializing in robotics and enabling AI solutions. We support our parent company, DMP, based in Tokyo, Japan, which was founded in 2002 and operates under the slogan “Making the Image Intelligence.” Our expertise spans computer vision, AI cameras, semiconductor and chip development for amusement, IoT devices, AI algorithms, enabling AI solutions, SaaS, and software.We develop our in-house product brands:
ZIA-MOVE for autonomous robotics,
ZIA-SAFE for security and safety applications, and
ZIA-PICK for picking, assembly, and sorting.
Our AI solutions primarily serve the Japanese market, and we are now planning to expand into Southeast Asian markets, including Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia. To support this growth, we are seeking talented individuals for roles in AI and robotics development. Please note that this position is for a principal engineer or senior management role that does not involve direct people management.JOB RESPONSIBILITES1. Project management:Requirements & Planning:
Analyze business and customer problems/requirements to develop strong technical proposals for our integration partners or customers.
Clarify project requirements, identify potential issues, and establish detailed timelines, milestones, and release plans.
Manage resource planning and allocation to ensure timely deliverables for ZIA-MOVE and semiconductor AI projects.
Ensure project execution is agile and adaptive by rapidly incorporating feedback and adjusting requirements accordingly.
Coordination & Monitoring:
Coordinate project activities, continuously monitor progress and tasks, and address changes to maintain alignment with project goals and timelines.
Provide weekly status updates and lead specific discussions with the Japanese Project Manager and other senior AI engineers.
Customer Support, Communication, and Collaboration:
Respond to customer inquiries with clear, concise explanations and offer post-release support.
Serve as the primary contact between the Japan and Vietnam teams, facilitating communication with stakeholders and ensuring collaborative efforts.
Tech stack:
Visual SLAM: Occupancy Grid Map, Path Planning, sparse mapping and 3D-reconstruction, feature extraction and tracking, scene understanding, occupancy grid mapping, path planning algorithms (A*, hybrid A*, RRT, etc.) and Open Motion Planning Library (OMPL)
3D computer vision, multi-view geometry, and SfM/SLAM.
TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras, 2D and 3D lane detection
2. Additional Responsibilities
Provide technical direction and expertise to ensure proposals and solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with both business objectives and customer needs.
Collaborate closely with senior technical staff and participate in technical discussions to drive innovation and improvements across our AI solutions.
Mentor and support team members on technical challenges, sharing knowledge and best practices even though this role does not have direct people management responsibilities.
