- Prepares and presents a wide variety of baked pastries, yeast raised pastries and desserts
- Handle all aspects of the pastry production, ordering and proposes new ideas to improve and develop the pastry in the hotel
- Prepares and presents afternoon tea items
- Maintains hygienic standards and practices
- Be responsible for handling and storage of commodities
- Works with Executive Chef in manpower planning and management of the Department's budget
- Delivers Food and Beverage service of high standard and in accordance with departmental standards and procedures
- Develops departmental standards and procedures to promote salesmanship, beverage creativity and profit
- Ongoing training and coaching should be conducted to enhance the knowledge and skills of the staffs
- Develop menu for the restaurant
- Propose and execute promotion plan to attract guest and contribute to the revenue and profitability of the hotel
- Prepares for service by ensuring department's grooming is impeccable and in accordance with personal presentation standards; equipment is clean and sorted; music and light is on
- Carries out effective service by ensuring all staff are aware of their role including greeting guest, explaining and upselling daily beverage specials, processing food order accurately, handle payment accurately, etc
- Motivates and drive team productivity at all times and offers assistant to other outlets where possible and as requested
- Takes appropriate action to solve guest's complaints
- Works with superior on manpower planning budget and management needs
- Conducts regular check on the cleanliness
