RoleWe are seeking an IDP Testing Engineer to join our internal platform team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of the internal tools and workflows that support our software development lifecycle. You will take initiative in driving improvements in automated testing and contribute to a seamless, self-service developer experience by validating platform functionality and performance. Responsibilities Test Case Development: Design and maintain test cases for all components of the IDP, including the developer portal, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and observability tools.Quality Assurance: Execute both manual and automated tests to identify defects, security vulnerabilities, and performance issues.Security Testing: Validate that the platform adheres to security best practices and that role-based access controls are correctly implemented.Performance Testing: Assess the scalability and efficiency of the platform under various load conditions.Feedback & Iteration: Collaborate with platform engineers to provide actionable feedback and contribute to continuous platform improvement.Documentation: Record test results, defects, and issues discovered during testing.

Requirement Analysis & DocumentationElicit, analyze, and document business needs through interviews, workshops, and observations.Develop clear Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), user stories, and process flows.Identify gaps and propose solutions to ensure feasibility and alignment with organizational goals.Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with CEO, Business Owner, IT Project Manager, domain experts, and field teams to capture and refine requirements.Act as the primary contact for clarifying requirements during the project lifecycle.Facilitate communication across technical and non-technical teams.Agile Project SupportContribute to backlog refinement and sprint planning by providing well-defined requirements and acceptance criteria.Support the Product Owner in prioritizing features based on value and impact.Participate actively in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.Quality Assurance & ValidationSupport QA in designing test scenarios and validating outcomes against requirements.Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with stakeholders and ensure traceability between requirements and delivered features.Ensure documentation is updated to reflect changes and lessons learned.Process ImprovementAnalyze workflows and propose enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Provide feedback to improve digital product adoption and usability.
